Kauai Scratch Removal is a full service natural stone restoration, repair, maintenance and polishing company serving all of Kauai since 2015.

My name is Erik, I am the owner and the field technician. I take pride in my work and am adamant about pleasing my clients and solving their natural stone related issues. This is the backbone of Kauai Scratch Removal.

 

Prior to starting Kauai Scratch Removal I spent the better part of 33 years in general construction with an emphasis on high end carpentry and woodworking, custom homes and remodels and most other detail oriented type work which was where my passions lie. During that time, I worked occasionally on stone with the first time at age 18 when a then boss asked me to cut off, bullnose and polish the edge of a recycled bartop, by hand.

Over the years I began to have a desire to move exclusively into stone restoration but I was fortunate to be in demand for my current work at the time so I delayed the move. That changed in 2015 when I simply decided it was time. I did my homework, attended special training to "hone" my skills and shortly after when I was ready, I opened my doors, and have been going nonstop ever since.

Aside from the various services we perform, I also appreciate the chance to help my DIY clients with advice or answering any questions they might have. Most of the work I do takes a great deal of experience, skill and equipment but things like stain removal or light mineral deposit removal can sometimes be performed by those who wish to do so in order to save costs. I'm based on the South Shore in Kalaheo but I cover the entire island from Kekaha to Haena and everywhere in between.
